- This includes paying for the torches, brass band(s), organizing the refreshments for sale and providing refreshments for 1997 Year Group attendees as well as the 50th Anniversary Year Group members who attend the event.
- School Feast
- Provide one meal (lunch or dinner) for the staff and students of the school in the dining hall
- Attend Founders Day durbar and Thanksgiving Service
- Help with the organization of 2 events outside Ghana as follows:
- Organize, in consultation with the OAA USA, the OAA-USA’s US Independence Day Events in the USA the preceding year.
- Organize, in consultation with the OAA UK, the Annual OAA-UK Fundraising Ball held in London 2 years after their 25th Anniversary to raise funds for the school.

Torchlight Character Build
Founders Day Parade, Durbar and Thanksgiving Service. These events are typically on the First weekend in March and are organized and financed by the Year Group that turns 50 that year. Effective March 2020 and for 9 years following, it will be shared between the 40th and 50th Year Group celebrants as further detailed below:
- 40th Anniversary – 2037
- Responsibility of 1997 Year Group
- Deliver a Legacy Project
- Choice of Legacy Project is determined in consultation with the OAA’s Projects Committee who will liaise with the School (through the Head, in consultation with the Board’s Lands and Projects Sub-Committee). The Legacy project may be started at any time prior but must be completed ideally by Founders Day. That failing, definitely by that year’s Speech and Prize-Giving Day. From 2020 to 2029 this will be the shared responsibility of the 40th and 50th year celebrants as detailed in the chart below. From 2030, and starting with the 1990 Year Group, it shall become the sole responsibility of the 40th Anniversary celebrants.
- Other Responsibilities:
- Attend Torchlight Procession, Founders Day Cadet Parade, Durbar and Thanksgiving Service.
- Founders Day Parade: Provide Reviewing Officer
