I read the thread on buying a dongle and connecting the ethernet to the TV's USB via a Belkin dongle:

viewtopic.php?p=455800- Hello, I checked the website for the USb 2.0 to ethernet adapter driver since my mac doesn't have a CD drive (NS-PU98505), but the website only has the driver for the USB 3.0 to ethernet adapter. Can someone link me the proper software? Otherwise, this is literally 20 dollars in the trash.
- I bought an Insignia USB 3.0 to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter with my early 2015 MacBook Pro. I don't have a CD drive, so I downloaded the driver from their website. Now, when I try to go to my network preferences, it takes about 5 minutes to load. I was trying to find how to uninstall the drivers but cannot find them.
Insignia Usb To Ethernet Adapter
The dongle that RokuShawn recommends has been discontinued for a new product here:http://www.amazon.com/Belkin-USB-Ethern ... et+adapter
I bought this new dongle and hooked up to my Sharp 43 inch Roku TV.
I've done the system restart, the factory reset, and the reboot to no avail.
I called Sharp and they say this will not work, that there's no way to get drivers into the TV, but isn't the belkin dongle 'driverless'?
Is there another dongle that doesn't require drivers?
Is there an ethernet to HDMI that would work?
