Monitors don't have Mac drivers. You just plug it in and use it. If 4K is your goal, then you must use the DisplayPort or mini DisplayPort connection. That's the only one that can carry that much resolution. A company called TouchBase makes compatible drivers. Google search for 'touchbase touchscreen mac drivers' and you will find them. GaryDauphin & to the OP, If you decide to download and use these drivers, remember it is not an Apple product which means if you need assistance you need to contact the developers of the product. Basically, I needed to enable the display link driver within 30 mins of installing the driver. I'm back on the 5.2.1 driver and my 4k monitor is plugged into the DisplayPort1 port and working. Only downside is the Mac is not showing the normal display scaling options (Larger Text. Default, More Space) for the external monitor.

Like DVI on the Mac and converted to DisplayPort on the other end. You'll still be limited to DVI's highest resolution and refresh rate.
